Hiring a property in Thailand involves two parties namely the “Lessor” who leases the property to another person which is the “Lessee” to have the use or benefits of a property for a limited period of time that agrees to pay the rental fee that has agreed upon.

 

What are the specific rules on renting a house or a condominium unit under Thai law?

Hiring a place to live in Thailand requires a written agreement between the landlord and the renter, if the rent will be made for more than 3 years the agreement needs to be registered to the Land Department Office by a competent official to give protection to both parties for any claims that may arise in the future.
